Vienna Period (1980s)
Herman Prigann’s Vienna Period coincided with the beginning of his environmentally oriented work – the first fire actions and metamorphic objects, and the realization of Hanging Tree (1985) – and public, participatory art actions like The Longest Painting. Most of the selected paintings are part of the cycle Akkurate Gesellschaft, exhibited at Künstlerhaus Wien in the early 1980s.
