Während unserem Besuch auf Rheinelbe, haben Ali und ich einige schöne Fotos der Kunstwerke gemacht, die ich gerne mit euch teilen würde. Der Skulpturenwald verändert sich von Jahr zu Jahr, daher ist jeder Besuch anders, was ich besonders faszinierend und aufregend finde. Einige der metamorphen Objekte werden langsam von den Naturprozessen übernommen, bis sie sich irgendwann gänzlich auflösen. Andere, wie der Spiralberg mit Himmelstreppe, müssen sorgfältig gepflegt und erhalten werden, was die Förster auf Rheinelbe wirklich wunderbar machen. Unter der neuen Verwaltung des Skulpturenwald wurde leider aus Sicherheitsgründen, ein Handlauf am Kunstobjekt angebracht, aber wir hoffen, dass wir zusammen bald eine andere Lösung finden, die den künstlerischen Ausdruck nicht so stark beeinträchtigt. (Die Fotos ohne Handlauf wurden circa 2000 gemacht; die mit Handlauf im Mai 2010.)
During our visit to Rheinelbe this spring, Ali and I took some lovely photos of the artworks, some of which I’d like to share on this blog. The Sculpture Wood changes from year to year. Thus, every visit is different and offers new perspectives, which I find particularly fascinating and exciting. Some of the metamorphic objects are being gradually transformed by natural processes. Eventually they will vanish completely, taken over by nature. Other artworks, like the Spiral Hill and Sky Stairs, have to be carefully maintained, and the forest rangers do this with utmost care. The Sculpture Wood is under new management and unfortunately a hand rail was installed on the Spiral Hill and Sky Stairs for safety reasons. However, we hope that by working together, we soon find an alternative solution that does not have such a strong impact on the aesthetic and artistic expression of the artwork. (The photos without the hand rail were taken circa 2000; the ones with the hand rail were taken in May of this year.)
Durante nuestra visita a Rheinelbe esta primavera, Ali y yo sacamos unas fotos bonitas de las obras, algunas de las cuales me gustaría compartir en este blog. La Sculpture Wood (escultura madera) cambia de año en año. Por ello, cada visita es diferente y ofrece nuevas perspectivas, lo cual me parece particularmente fascinante. Algunos de los objetos metamórficos gradualmente se están transformando mediante procesos naturales. Con el tiempo desaparecerán por completo, absorbidas por la naturaleza. Otras obras, como Spiral Hill and Sky Stairs, tienen que preservarse cuidadosamente y los guardas forestales llevan esto a cabo con sumo cuidado. El Bosque Escultural está bajo una nueva administración y desafortunadamente un pasamanos ha sido instalado en el Spiral Hill and Sky Stairs por razones de seguridad. Sin embargo, esperamos que mediante una colaboración pronto encontremos una solución alternativa que no tenga un impacto tan fuerte sobre la estética y la expresión artística de la obra.
